Terms of use.

Overview

These terms apply to Kairovo software (ScoreSifter, RecitalAtlas, AriaDesk, Vocemetry) and the websites kairovo.com and associated product sites. By using Kairovo software or visiting these sites, you agree to these terms.

Kairovo is operated by Derek Hill, Auckland, New Zealand.

Software licences

Desktop Kairovo apps (ScoreSifter, RecitalAtlas, AriaDesk) are available to try free for 30 days before purchase — fully functional, no feature restrictions, no account required. After 30 days the app stops working until a licence is purchased. Vocemetry is an iOS app sold through the App Store and is subject to Apple's standard terms; no separate trial applies.

After purchase, you receive a perpetual single-user licence. One purchase allows you to install and use the software on your own machines for personal or professional use. You may not resell, sublicence, or redistribute the software.

ScoreSifter is free to use without restriction. It is provided as-is, with no warranty.

What you may do

• Install and use the apps on your own machines
• Make backups of the software for your own use
• Use the apps for commercial purposes (e.g. running a teaching studio)

What you may not do

• Reverse-engineer, decompile or disassemble the software
• Redistribute or resell the software or your licence
• Remove or alter copyright notices
• Use the software in any way that violates applicable law

Updates

Kairovo provides updates at its discretion. Paid licences include updates to the major version purchased. Future major versions may be sold separately, and will be clearly labelled as such. There is no automatic expiry on your licence.

Disclaimer of warranties

Kairovo software is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We make no warranty that the software will be error-free or uninterrupted. Your use is at your own risk.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Kairovo and Derek Hill shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from use of the software, including but not limited to data loss. Kairovo's total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the relevant app licence.

Refunds

This refund policy applies to desktop Kairovo apps purchased directly (ScoreSifter, RecitalAtlas, AriaDesk). Vocemetry is sold through the Apple App Store and is subject to Apple's refund policy — we have no control over App Store purchases.

All paid desktop apps include a fully functional 30-day trial before purchase. We encourage you to use the trial to evaluate the software properly before buying.

Because a full trial is available, refunds are issued on a case-by-case basis. To request one, email hello@kairovo.com within 30 days of purchase with your order number and the email address used at checkout.

Our refund policy covers accidental purchases, incompatibility, and genuine technical issues. It is not intended as a means to extend the trial period. We reserve the right to decline a request if we believe the policy is being abused.

Refunds are processed through Lemon Squeezy to your original payment method, typically within 5–10 business days.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the software after a revision constitutes acceptance.
